Long Island Surgeon Jon Turk Introduces Hydrafacial for Teens

Facial plastic surgeon Jon Turk has introduced Hydrafacial X, a facial series designed to help clean and clear problem skin for teens.


Dr. Jon Turks plastic surgery practice has long been offering plastic surgery and cosmetic treatments to address the most frequent aesthetic concerns of his adult patients. Now Dr. Turk has introduced a new treatment that is tailored to meet the skin care needs of teenage patients. This innovative treatment, Hydrafacial X, is a three-part program that is meant to thoroughly clean oily, broken out skin.


The idea of Hydrafacial X came to Dr. Turk after his own teenage son had a HydraFacial performed at Dr. Turks plastic surgery practice. After the treatment, Dr. Turks son noted the improved appearance of his skin and wondered why most teens are willing to turn to dermatologists for skin treatment, but seem to avoid spa treatments such as facials. While topical dermatologic treatments can be effective, they can be drying to the skin and are often only successful on skin that has already been deep cleaned. Dr. Turk realized that this was a special opportunity to create a skin treatment to cleanse and refresh teenage skin. Whats more, this treatment can be performed in Dr. Turks medical offices, a more private and professional setting than a day spa. Working together, Dr. Turk and his medical aestheticians came up with Hydrafacial X, a three-part cleansing facial.
