Fifteen years ago, OC Ramps was founded as a family and skater owned business on the principles of staying fit and having fun. We're thrilled to be associated with the 'Stay Fit Have Fun Day' at Westpoint Heights Elementary, says Tyler Large, president and owner, OC Ramps. We believe in the cause and we believe in helping build up the community. Skateboarding is an amazing sport that keeps kids and adults active and it's about having a great time with family and friends.

On Friday, May 10, 2013 the nearly 500 students and staff of Westport Heights Elementary School will learn about the importance of healthy diet and fitness. Santiago will also share his enthusiasm for skateboarding, active lifestyles and his love for kids. Attendees will receive nutritious snacks from the local Whole Foods Market in El Segundo and bottles of 100% spring-fed water from People Water. Additionally, first through third grade classes will receive a copy of the I AM Foundations book, I am Healthy! Affirmations for Health and Well-being which encourages children, parents, and teachers to make healthy choices regarding food, exercise and daily activities.

We are grateful to OC Ramps and their national team members Manny Santiago and Mike Bachinski for thrilling the Westport Heights kids with a professional skateboard demonstration. This great event is a direct result of Mannys enthusiasm for kids and skateboarding and we are excited to be a part of it, says Julian Omidi, co-founder of Childrens Obesity Fund which is a Stay Fit. Have Fun Day co-sponsor.

Childrens Obesity Fund partners with other organizations to educate and support parents, educators and others so that we can all work together to raise healthy, active, social, and happy children. While the organization does not accept donations, it encourages direct contributions of money and talents to the associations featured on our website.
