Huge Event on March 21st: Atlantic COO John Pickett and GM Ravel E. Mejia Lose Their Hair

Twelve days ago, Ravel Mejia asked John Pickett to shave his head for charity. Mr. Pickett quickly acquiesced but asked for sponsors to raise funds. That night 12 individual managers from Millennium Honda, the Hempstead location, committed $ 3,150 in donations to St. Baldricks Foundation.

The support didnt stop there. Ravel Mejia, General Manager at Millennium Honda, and John Pickett, Chief Operating Officer of the Atlantic Automotive Group, both matched the donations. That night they raised close to $ 10,000.

John Pickett, sponsored by Millennium Honda and the management team, has agreed to shave his head. He is helping to raise funds to support St. Baldricks research for children cancers. The shaving will take place during an event hosted by Millennium Honda on March 21st 2013 from 7 p.m. to midnight. Everyone is invited to the event.

A few days later, a customer challenged Ravel Mejia to shave his head in return for an in-kind donation for the event. At the request for sponsors, many Millennium Honda employees teamed up and have raised an additional $ 7,000.00.

Our goal is to raise over $ 50,000.00. Helping the community, especially our children, is a value at the heart of our staff. I joined the Millennium Honda team a year ago and found that our employees are caring and supportive, said Ravel Mejia.

In addition, Millennium Honda will donate $ 150.00 for every car sold during the event.

Many have partnered up with Millennium Honda to help the St. Baldricks cause such as: Napolini Express, Uncle Guiseppes Market Place, NY Exceptions Band and the Street Corner Review. Hot 97s Peter Rosenberg-Cypha Sounds and Rosemberg Radio Show, will also be present.
