Health Food Emporium Owner Says, The Best New Year Resolution is a Promise to Yourself to Achieve Better Health in 2013!

(PRWEB) December 31, 2012

In a recent interview, Gail Bowman, owner of Health Food Emporium, said Everyone is interested in doing better for the new year. But the biggest gift you can give yourself is better health. I have 5 top Resolutions that can help people to get better health for themselves and their families this year.

Here are Ms Bowmans 5 top Resolutions for 2013:

1. Work on losing weight. There is a lot of new research out there to help with losing weight. Researchers have know for several years that Fucoxanthin, the main ingredient in Garden of Lifes Fucothin, aids weight loss. According to a study done in 2007, Japanese researchers found that fucoxanthin induced between 10 and 12 pounds more weight loss compared with placebo over a 16-week period in women who consumed 1,800 calories per day. This study also showed beneficial reductions in visceral body fat. Excess amounts of visceral body fat are linked to insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular disease.

In addition, according to Gail Bowman, You cant depend on a weight loss supplement alone, a high protein, low carb, low calorie diet in addition to regular exercise will help you on your way to a new, slimmer you this year.

2. Eat better quality, more nutritious foods. In a series of articles on the dangers of fast foods, Dr Mercola explains that fast food, or junk foods, that are so common in our lives today, actually can cause neurological problems, diabetes and obesity in our children! Dr Don Colbert even shows us that there are many easy, fast diet foods that are dangerously high in chemicals and sugar!

So what to do? Ms Bowman says,Look for low sugar, low carb foods made entirely of foods that you can recognize. If you are reading a label and you dont recognize a food, it probably isnt food! Go Organic and grass fed with no added hormones or antibiotics whenever you can. This takes determination, and true dedication, but making fresh veggies the majority of your familys meal, instead of the side dish, actually costs less than buying fast food.

3. Avoid Toxins in your foods and in your environment. Dr Don Colbert recently wrote, here are several steps you can take to decrease the amount of toxins entering your body. Begin by learning which products are safer for your skin and hair care routine. According to Ms Bowman, you can start by educating yourself about the toxins in your household cleaners, skin and hair care products, and in normal household items like fluorescent light bulbs.

4. Do some sort of exercise every day. In a recent article, John Abdo, a Fitness Trainer, wrote, There have been studies showing that regular exercise over long periods of time reduces the risk of heart attacks, improves lung function, lowers blood glucose, cholesterol, and triglyceride levels, and improves muscle and bone strength with advancing age. These studies suggest that exercise can extend lifespan...

Ms Bowman says, Exercise doesnt have to mean a gym membership. It just means being in motion. So, exercise is cleaning the house, walking, biking, swimming, playing with the grandkids, gardening, etc. Try to be moving in a way that gets your heart rate up and gets you out of your usual rut, for at least 1 hour every day.

5. Reduce your stress. In a recent article, Dr Mercola said, One of the most common problems I hear from patients is that they felt fatigued, anxious or depressed. And they often have trouble sleeping -- even though they are exhausted.

According to Ms Bowman, almost all of us are over stressed these days, but we can consciously make choices that will reduce our stress. She says, Eat healthy meals and feed your body so you can fight off the effects of stress; Consider taking herbal supplements that help your body to respond in a healthy way to cortisol; get exercise every day; find a job that is less stressful or that gives you more feelings of achievement; and set out to reduce your debt load this year, not increase it as so many of us tend to do.

By choosing to improve our lifestyle, our diet and our financial position, we can make 2013 the 'best of years'. This year, make and keep resolutions that will improve your life by improving your health.

Expert Beverly Hills Hair Restoration offers 6 Tips to Achieve Healthy Hair and Prevent Hair Loss that Won't Break the Bank

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) January 24, 2013

But, there are some hair care and hair loss solutions that don't involve reaching into your purse for your credit card. Expert Dr. John Kahen M.D., medical director of Beverly Hills Hair Restoration, offers these 6 tips to achieve and maintain healthy hair.

"You don't always have to buy every latest and greatest hair product to achieve and maintain healthy hair. Simple changes in lifestyle and every day hair care regimens can curb dry, damaged, or thinning hair," said the medical director of Beverly Hills Hair Restoration.

Here are the hair transplant clinic's six tips to achieve healthy hair and prevent hair loss:

1. Look to your diet

Look at your diet to determine if you are eating a well-balanced diet and if you are lacking in any vitamins or nutrients. Nutritional deficiencies take a toll on the body physically, and not getting enough vitamins and nutrients can affect the health of your skin and hair. Vitamins like biotin, Vitamin E and even pre-natal vitamins can assist with keeping hair healthy.

2. Wash hair regularly to prevent hair loss

Wash your hair regularly to prevent build-up and eliminate the potential presence of DHT (dihydrotestosterone) from forming in the hair follicles if you are already noticing hair loss. The word "regularly" varies for everyone - but if you tend to use styling products, it's best to wash everyday or every other day to avoid clogging the pores in the scalp and causing build-up.

3. Avoid alcohol-based hair products

Try to eliminate or use very little of alcohol-based hair products. Hair products containing alcohol evaporate very quickly, but take with it the natural oil production in the hair that prevents dryness. Look for "alcohol" in the ingredients that can also be masked as "alcohol denatured", "methanol" and "isopropyl".

4. Limit the use of heat styling

Try to put down the blow dryer and curling iron occasionally to avoid breakage and dryness since excessive heat can weaken the follicles. Get a blow dryer with different heat settings and use a diffuser to target the air flow.

5. Avoid hairstyles that pull on the hair

Avoid hairstyles that pull the hair back tightly, such as a too-tight ponytail or hair extensions. Constant strain on the hair can cause breakage and even hair loss if worn often enough.

6. Take a day off

Pick one day each week to give your hair a break, from styling, heat - all of the damaging habits that you do to your hair everyday. Take a Sunday and swear off the blow-dryer, curling iron and hair extensions to give your hair a rest.

hCGTreatments / Diet Doc hCG Diets & Weight Loss Plans Now Offer Advanced Diet Plans To Achieve Patients Best Weight Loss Goals

Seattle, WA (PRWEB) June 03, 2013

Weight gain is often attributed to unhealthy eating, failing to stick with diet plans and an unwillingness to exercise, however, not achieving best weight loss may have a very different cause altogether. A new study out of the New York University of Medicine reveals that how a person comes into the world may leave them already disposed to weight gain and obesity in the future. Diet Docs hCG diet plans take into consideration all reasons for weight gain and obesity and address those reasons through medically supervised weight management aids and healthy eating diet plans that help patients achieve their best weight loss goals.

This new study, led Dr. Jan Blustein, Ph.D., M.D., was concerned over the long-term consequences of birth by Cesarean section and reviewed data associated with birthing methods and body mass of 10,219 children. As reported on by Medical News Today, the data revealed that not only are there significant health risks associated with C-section babies, including asthma and allergies, but by the age of 11, babies born by C-section were 83% more likely to be overweight than those born vaginally. Diet Docs diet plans address weight gain and obesity caused by any number of factors, including how a patient was born, and help clients achieve their best weight loss goals as safely and rapidly as possible for their body type.

hCG diet plans were initially created in the 1950s by researcher A.T.W. Simeons. Simeons discovered that patients achieved their best weight loss when they received small doses of the hCG hormone and consumed a diet of 500 calories per day. Diet Doc took Simeons research from the 1950s, modernized it with todays medical and health standards and created todays hCG diet plans. Diet Doc understood that Simeons theory was successful in providing patients with their best weight loss, but recognized that a diet of 500 calories per day posed significant health risks including extreme fatigue, exhaustion and muscle loss. By combining new nutrient rich, high protein meal plans, patients are able to consume more than double the calorie intake of the original hCG diets and feel fuller and more satisfied for longer periods of time. Patients following these improved hCG diet plans also boast a fat loss of up to one pound per day while experiencing no significant side effects.

The Diet Doc team of weight management professionals has received extensive training on the causes of weight gain, how the body responds to fat loss and the most effective methods for achieving fast weight loss. Using their specialized training, this team created hCG diets plans to provide Diet Doc clients with easy but effective diet plans that address weight gain and obesity triggered by many causes. Diet Doc is dedicated to helping patients overcome the obstacles presented by weight gain, achieve their best weight loss and maintain their weight for a lifetime of healthy living.

hCGTreatments / Diet Doc hCG Diets & Weight Loss Plans Introduces Improved hCG Diets to Help Patients Achieve Best Weight Loss Goals and Reduce the Symptoms of Diabetes

Houston, TX (PRWEB) June 13, 2013

The rise of obesity rates has left researchers searching for methods to help people achieve their best weight loss goals. One consideration is to target the younger population and to educate them on healthy living practices to carry into later life and reduce the risk of weight-related health concerns including symptoms of diabetes. A new study just published in the Journal of Pediatrics found that obese teenagers who achieved best weight loss goals and reduced their body mass by 8% or more showed improvements in insulin sensitivity, an important factor of the symptoms of diabetes. Diet Docs hCG diet plans help all patients, including overweight and obese teenagers, completely transform their lives and achieve initial best weight loss goals with the naturally powerful appetite suppressant hCG and healthy living education.

As reported by Medical News Today, researchers studied a group of 113 adolescents between the ages of 13 and 17 to determine the effect of fat loss on their sensitivity to insulin and the risk for developing symptoms of diabetes. The results of the study showed that the subjects who reduced their body mass by 8% or more by following family-based, lifestyle-modification, best weight loss diet plans, improved their sensitivity to insulin and reduced the risks for symptoms of diabetes. The study participants were taught healthy eating habits and were encouraged to incorporate these practices into their daily routines in addition to physical exercise and counseling on best weight loss goals. Diet Docs hCG diet plans follow a similar model and combine medically supervised weight management tools with education on living a healthy lifestyle to achieve best weight loss and reduce health concerns and the symptoms of diabetes.

Overcoming initial fat loss can be challenging, so Diet Doc created hCG diet plans to provide their patients with an easier and faster way to lose weight fast. Each potential patient will consult with a Diet Doc physician to determine which weight management aids will provide the most effective results. Using hCG treatments as part of hCG diet plans will effectively curb patients appetites and allow them to consume fewer calories to overcome initial best weight loss hurdles. Without intense hunger and cravings, patients can learn to make healthy eating choices and determine which foods will provide adequate nutrition while still leaving them feeling full and satisfied.

Patients will work hand-in-hand with the Diet Doc team of weight management professionals to design hCG diet plans around their age, gender, health history, lifestyle and food preferences. Diet Doc understands that general diet plans will not work for everyone and developed hCG diets around the specific needs of the patient. Not only have Diet Docs hCG diet plans helped patients lose weight fast and reduce health risks such as the symptoms of diabetes, they have also been so successful in achieving patient fat loss that they have become the nations leader in medically supervised weight management.
