This turns one of the most fundamental laws of the natural world upside down which is the belief that you are born, and then you eventually die. Most exciting is that we have learned that during rejuvenation, this jellyfish undergoes cellular transdifferentiation, an unusual process by which one type of cell is converted into another a nerve cell into a skin cell, for instance. This is amazingly similar to the work were seeing done with our partner laboratories and their findings in working with human stem cells.
With only a few scientists in the world studying the jellyfish and too few dollars going to them, Vestiage hopes to help these scientist create breakthrough ingredients that it can translate into products for its premium and prestige anti-aging customers.
