SkinStore.com Announces Sacramento Area Charitable Grant Program

Gold River, CA (PRWEB) March 30, 2013

As part of their Giving Back program, SkinStore.com, an international e-commerce specialty retailer providing scientifically sound solutions for healthy skin, is now accepting applications to award grant monies to organizations offering resources to disadvantaged children and adults in the Sacramento area.

More than a third of Californians living at or below the poverty level are 18 or younger. SkinStore.com sees an opportunity to make a difference in their own community by offering grants to fund programs that support those in need.

SkinStore.com has been part of the online retailer drugstore.com (Bellevue, WA) family since 2010. Embracing the drugstore.com Foundations mission to serve Basic Needs and Healthy Starts in the areas in which drugstore has physical operations (Bellevue, Washington, Gold River, California and Swedesboro, New Jersey), SkinStore will focus on organizations that provide support, enable self-sufficiency and work to improve the lives of children and adults. SkinStore will accept grant applications through May 31, with the final decision to award the monies to be made by the end of June.

Steve Brown, President of SkinStore.com, said, Our Giving Back program allows us to make a difference right here, where we live and work. By making our grant available locally, we will see the results first hand.
