Preparing Your Honey: Prince William Regional Beekeepers Associations Next Meeting Topic

The Prince William Regional Beekeepers Associations next club meeting will take place Tue. May 14th, 7pm 9pm Manassas Church of the Brethren, 10047 Nokesville Road (rt. 28), Manassas, Virginia where Miss. Whitney Long will speak on Preparing Your Honey.


Long will emphasize honey shows - but this presentation will also help explain how to make any honey look fabulous as a gift, for sale, etc. The club will be offering free incentive jars to those who wish to enter honey in this summers local honey.


Honey and beekeeping events are fun, educational and great activities for families and people of all ages, said Mary Ross of the Mohawk Valley Trading Company where they specialize in raw varietal honey.


Varietal honey is made primarily from the nectar of a particular type of blossom or flower. To capture the unique character and flavor of the blossom or flower, beekeepers must study botanical bloom and flowering patterns when planning hive placement.


The Prince William Regional Beekeepers Association is open to all persons regardless of where they live or where they keep bees.
