The latest innovation in pet nutritional supplements is coming to Canada.

All five products are sold in packages of individually sealed supplements that are highly palatable and created with a patent-pending "soft-chew" delivery system. Individual packaging maintains freshness and dosage efficacy until a pet parent is ready to serve the chew to their pet, Setton said. In addition, NoviPets supplements have met the requirements of the Interim Notification Program (INP) and are considered Low Risk Veterinary Health Products.
For maximum health benefits, NoviPet recommends cats receive one-to-two chews per day, and dogs between one half and three chews per day depending on the product and the pets weight. Its also safe to give pets more than one of the supplement products throughout the day.
David Rosenblatt, DVM, said he believes nutritional supplements play an important role in a pets diet, especially because dosage amounts can be easily controlled, administered and monitored for ingestion.
"As a veterinarian, my philosophy includes two central principles: One, prevention is better than treatment, and two, intervene as little as possible," said Dr. Rosenblatt, who is a veterinary consultant with Sher Consulting & Training Ltd.
