Ken Paves SelfHelp Hair Care Donates $1.5 million of Hair Care Products to Hurricane Sandy Survivors

Boynton Beach, FL (PRWEB) November 20, 2012

Kenneth & Co. is pleased to announce the donation of nearly 60,000 Ken Paves SelfHelp hair care products to World Vision to be distributed to Hurricane Sandy survivors in the greater New York area. World Vision is a humanitarian organization dedicated to helping children, families, and their communities worldwide, and is a leading charity in the disaster response field. Their Bronx, NY warehouse was flooded during the powerful storm, and their supply of personal hygiene kits was severely depleted.

Kenneth & Co. is also donating almost 16,000 Ken Paves SelfHelp hair care products to AmeriCares to be distributed to emergency shelters and distribution centers in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey as part of their Family Emergency Kits, designed to help keep people clean, and under the current circumstances, staying clean also means staying healthy.

With the impact of Hurricane Sandy followed by a noreaster, and people losing both jobs and homes, we felt it was important to support those affected by this disaster, says Eddie Catalfamo, CEO. Personal care products are a necessity, not a luxury, and the philosophy of the Ken Paves SelfHelp brand centers around the importance of taking care of yourself. We are fortunate to be able to donate $ 1.5 million in retail value of products to help people in need as they put their lives back together, thanks to the care networks of both World Vision and AmeriCares.

In moments of upset, personal hygiene brings dignity. It is my honor and responsibility to support this donation to World Vision and AmeriCares. I am personally inspired by the work of both organizations, says Ken Paves.
