Owner, Kelli Christie with 23 years experience as a hairstylist has been working with local area clients dealing with medical hair loss for over six years. She works closely with Recover with Confidence, an organization dedicated to fostering a community for people dealing with medical hair loss while meeting all their unique needs. Kelli Christie ~ Medical Hair Loss Expert: Christie is familiar with the many trials and tribulations of hospitals. Her inspiration comes from her parents. As a young girl, she spent endless hours in hospitals as both her parents suffered from heart disease. As a child, Christie talked about becoming a nurse, so she could help people. Her father passed away when she was only ten. This event only strengthened her resolve. After high school, she decided to become a licensed cosmetologist instead of a nurse, due to financial challenges. This change in career direction has not stopped her from her lifelong desire to help medical patients.
Kelli Christie was first introduced to medical hair loss when she met Sandy Carpenter, a member of the Recover With Confidence team, over six years ago. At the time, three of Christies regular clients were diagnosed with cancer and she knew just how she could help them. She immediately contacted Carpenter to quickly become trained as a specialist in medical hair replacement. Christies goal remains to help clients through the process of getting back to normalcy. She shares, When patients come in for their initial consultation, they usually are very nervous. They are dealing with the realization that they have lost or will soon lose their hair. Once they come back for the second and third visit, they are much more comfortable. Over time, an important standard of trust is built.
