Opened in January 2013, FLOW Blow Dry & Beauty Bar is a no cut/no color concept hair salon that is the first of its kind blow dry & beauty bar in the Northern VA area. FLOW has been featured in DC Modern Luxury Magazines latest Best of the City 2013 issue as well in the Daily Candy, Washingtonian Northern VA Magazine and the Reston Patch.
On Saturday April 20th, 2013, FLOW will add express manis, polish change and nail art to its service offering. The ZOYA nail polish line is free of harmful chemicals such as toluene, formaldehyde, DBP and camphor. The color lock system surrounds polish with a protective barrier against moisture, bubbling, chipping and UV damage for beautiful, healthy, long-lasting nails.
FLOW caters to women with all hair types who just want their hair washed and styled for $ 35 from loose and wavy Calypso to Wispy for those with bangs by stylists trained under NYC Bumble & Bumble stylist Teddi Cranford. Also offered are threading hair removal, make-up application, scalp massages, deep conditioning treatments, and bridal hair styling. FLOW provides a positive, energetic and environmentally conscious environment. The motto is pure, pretty, naturalblowouts with style. Clients can enjoy a cup of organic juice, coffee or tea as they are pampered. Eco-friendly blow dryers and floors, non-toxic paint, and energy efficient lights are part of the build-out.
Product lines include Kevin Murphy, a sulphate/paraben free hair care line made from renewable resources, using pure essential oils, plant extracts and natural antioxidants and Moroccan Oil, a nutrient-rich, innovative hair care line that uses an Argan oil blend rich in vitamins and natural elements. For make-up, guests can choose to use Vapour Organic Beauty, an all natural line loved by celebrities, makeup artists, and beauty editors around the world.
FLOW Blow Dry & Beauty Bar is located at 11700 Plaza America Dr., Suite 130 (ground level under office buildings), right off the Dulles Toll Road and near the Reston Town Center.
