Farmers Market

Kennesaw, Georgia (PRWEB) June 12, 2013

Farmers Market Bar Soap is celebrating its first full year of being a certified organic product, having met the standards of the USDA National Organic Program (NOP). Manufactured by Beaumont Products, Inc. in Kennesaw, Georgia, Farmers Markets certification process was conducted by Oregon Tilth, a third-party, USDA-authorized certifying agency.

We believe that third-party certification is crucial in clearly communicating our message to the consumer about Farmers Market Soaps mix of natural and certified organic ingredients, said Hank Picken, CEO and founder of Beaumont Products. There are a lot of other soap companies out there making unconfirmed claims and consumers want more than words, they want proof, now more than ever.

Farmers Market is one of the few national soap brands to carry the USDAs NOP certification. In addition, Oregon Tilth is credited with helping the USDA in creating the NOP standards necessary for the certification process and was one of the first to become accredited as an organic certifier by the USDA NOP.

The USDA NOP certification has helped to increase our visibility towards consumers, especially those consumers taking a second or even a third glance at the ingredients listed on the products they take home, said Craig Goodson, marketing director for Beaumont Products. The continued growth in the numbers of consumers demanding to know what is in their products can ultimately drive what a retailer will put on their shelves. Now, retailers want more manufacturers to be able to communicate that information to the shopper. This certification communicates that message.
