Enright Melanoma Foundation Announces New Executive Director

Melanoma is the most deadly form of skin cancer and the most common cancer among young adults, ages 25-29. Janet Horowitz of Rockaway Township, NJ, was recently named the new Executive Director of the Enright Melanoma Foundation, in Summit, NJ. With two sons in this age range, she brings passionate leadership to this important nonprofit organization, which provides health through education preventing melanoma and skin cancers through knowledge.


Janet is a community service professional with over 25 years of experience in the nonprofit, education and corporate sectors. She has a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Organization Management from Seton Hall University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Ithaca College. Janet brings vast experience in fundraising, resource development, volunteer management, nonprofit board management, marketing and public relations. Her background includes leadership roles at CIT Group, Family Service of Morris County, New Jersey After 3, Anti-Defamation League of NJ, NCJW Essex County Section, and private consulting. Janet also helped to form the grassroots organization The Parent Resource Network in Rockaway Township, NJ. She is a member of the Association for Fundraising Professionals and the American Marketing Association.

The Enright Melanoma Foundation was created in honor of former Summit Medical Group Internist Joseph Enright. The Foundation promotes awareness, early detection and prevention of melanoma the disease which caused Dr. Enrights premature death.
