Cielo Spa Boutique, a Santa Barbara day spa located in the city known as the American Rivera, was chosen as Winner of the Best Day Spa Award on March 8th, 2013. This is the second year in a row that Cielo Spa has been featured in the Santa Barbara News-Press Readers Choice Awards, as the spa previously placed in the local newspaper for Runner-Up in the same wellness category.
The Santa Barbara News-Press is a newspaper based in Santa Barbara, California. The daily newspaper serves the Santa Barbara County and is the oldest daily newspaper in Southern California, publishing since 1855. Columns and articles of interest include local and world news, sports, business, classifieds and special supplemental editions. Once a year the Santa Barbara News-Press asks local readers to participate in their Annual Readers' Choice Awards. The results of the poll are published in a special insert issue.

With her many years of experience as both a licensed Esthetician and a Massage Therapist, Roxanne Zbindens goal as owner of Cielo Spa Boutique, is to provide her clientele with a calming and relaxing experience. Roxanne has been building her reputation in the spa industry over the past twelve years, but her desire to provide the highest level of service possible led to opening her own day spa in January 2006. She was inspired by her Mexican heritage to name her spa Cielo. The word Cielo translated from spanish to english means "Heaven. Since 2006, Roxanne has continued her education focusing on advanced skin care classes at the International Dermal Institute. Roxanne has also studied under celebrity stylists, such as Oprah Winfrey's eye brow shaper, Anastasia.
I love what I get to do here at Cielo Spa Boutique everyday. As a third generation Santa Barbaran I feel blessed to be serving my community and helping give the gift of wellness to those who deserve it - which is everyone! said Zbinden.
