The Jackson Companies in Myrtle Beach Selects the ADP Vitality Program to Enhance Employee Wellness Initiatives

Myrtle Beach, SC (PRWEB) April 12, 2013

The Jackson Companies in Myrtle Beach, S.C., is partnering with ADP to help empower their teammates (employees) to live the healthiest life possible by implementing the ADP Vitality wellness program. Its an interactive, personalized wellness program and a new addition to The Jackson Companies existing wellness program, Teammates Getting into Fitness (TGIF). This new online tool is an additional benefit being provided to all of TJCs 170 full-time teammates.

For several years, The Jackson Companies has been committed to helping its teammates achieve both good health and well-being. We believe the most effective means of achieving both is individual empowerment the power for each teammate to learn and improve habits to live a healthy lifestyle, comments Dennis Wade, CEO of The Jackson Companies. We value our employees, our teammates, and we want them to feel their best. When they feel their best, they are happier and it shows.

Adoption of the ADP Vitality wellness program is a multi-year initiative and commitment for The Jackson Companies, which will encourage its teammates to get active, involved and rewarded. It focuses on four key areas: education, fitness, prevention and nutrition. Each area offers ways for teammates to earn points and track their progress at their own pace. Teammates start with the ADP Vitality Virtual Health Risk Assessment. The online program helps teammates set goals and recommends ways to achieve those goals. The ultimate goal is to mentor teammates about healthy living, but a bi-product of participation is saving money. Teammates who engage in the program will help lower their portion of the healthcare premium.

As small businesses continue to struggle with rising healthcare costs, The Jackson Companies is working to take proactive measures. Ron Welchel, Human Resources Director of The Jackson Companies, explains, Our healthcare costs are not sustainable, so we are giving teammates the tools and support to help them learn and become more accountable for their health.

Participation can be a challenge with any voluntary program, however, many teammates have embraced the endeavor to live healthier, and even challenged one another. In 2011, the TGIF program began with a little healthy competition that included a points system for tracking participation in education, fitness and even weight loss. During two separate TGIF challenges 119 teammates lost 319.5 inches and 504.8 pounds.

We see growing demand for incentive-based wellness programs as both employers and employees seek new ways to reduce their health expenses, said Regina Lee, Division President, ADP. Online, interactive platforms like the ADP Vitality wellness program also help drive employee participation by enabling them to work towards personal wellness goals when and where its most convenient.

The ADP Vitality wellness program dovetails in with other TGIF tools and events coming in April and May designed for The Jackson Companies teammates including a Health & Wellness Fair, National Walk @ Lunch Day, Free Skin Cancer Screenings for Teammates, and the Teammate Appreciation Breakfast.

Belcorp is Recognized as Top 10 in Direct Selling Globally and Among Top Companies in California in Diversity

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) May 17, 2013

Belcorp is honored to announce its recent recognition in distinguished international and local arenas for its extraordinary accomplishments in growth and in promoting diversity.

Most recently, Peruvian-based, international beauty company Belcorp has been recognized as the 10th Largest Direct Selling Company in the world. Direct Selling News (DSN), the leading trade publication for the direct selling industry, ranked Belcorp #10 on its annual DSN Global 100 list for 2012. The list is a comprehensive ranking system created to recognize the sales achievements of the largest direct selling companies around the world. Belcorp founder and CEO, Eduardo Belmont said, We are thrilled and honored to be a Latin American company ranked for the second year in a row as part of the top 10 largest direct selling companies in the world. This recognition reinforces and validates Belcorps mission of empowering women and transforming lives every day through the amazing work, passion and commitment of our Beauty Advisors to whom we dedicate this distinction.

In addition to its global leadership role, Belcorp is also making news at the local level in the US. The National Diversity Council recognized Belcorp USA General Manager, Mona Ameli, among the 2013 Most Powerful and Influential Women in the state of California in April. This honor came shortly after the DSN ranked Ameli among the Top 20 Most Influential Women in the Direct Selling Industry. While the DSN selection process was based on leadership and vision of companies that achieved the DSN Global 100, the National Diversity Council recognized achievement based on the professional success and empowerment of multicultural minorities in the US and their abilities to rise above numerous challenges and barriers. Ameli, who was born in Iran, raised and educated in France, and has now resided in the US for 17 years where she is leading the US subsidiary of a large Latin American company represents the epitome of diversity.

Belcorp believes diversity is imperative to the growth of the company and to the industry as a whole, observes Ameli. There is no room for cultural or gender gaps at Belcorp USA where some 75% of managerial positions are filled by women. Additionally, management and staff represent over 12 different cultural ethnicities. However, Belcorp believes that diversity is not defined by just race and gender it comprises age, personality, education, interests, experiences and skills. When all of these elements become intertwined, creativity and flexibility are given the fuel that is needed to grow in the ever-changing direct selling landscape. Limiting diversity puts companies at an increased risk of losing a competitive edge in this hyper-connected global economy. We are proud of our strength in this area as it makes us different, Ameli says.

Belcorp understands that diversity is more than a corporate buzzword, it is a powerful element that should be leveraged by every company in every industry that wants to realize further growth or success. Ameli encourages leaders to diversify, to go beyond just talking about cultural intelligence to actually being the generator of diversity and creating a truly diverse organization.

In addition to its long term focus on diversity, Belcorps continued growth can also be attributed to its unwavering commitment to development and excellence. With over 45 years in the direct selling industry, the company has a prominent presence in 16 countries, has more than 9,000 employees and over 1 million active independent distributors.
