Beauty Retailer Hip Apotheca Launches New Vegan Category

(PRWEB) March 19, 2013

Hip Apotheca recently announced the addition of a vegan section to their online beauty retail site. With over 200 natural and organic hair, skin, body, nail, and makeup products suitable for vegans, Hip Apotheca is a one stop shop for animal testing-free and cruelty-free beauty needs.

The site carries vegan selections from brands such as One Love Organics, Yarok Organic Hair Products, skinnyskinny, John Masters Organics, LippyGirl Makeup, Scotch Naturals, Alima Pure, and mbeze. Merchandising Manager Michelle Ng said, "While Hip Apotheca only carries products that are not tested on animals, we want to make shopping an easy experience for all animal friendly shoppers, including vegans."

Veganism is the practice of abstaining from the use of animal products. The vegan lifestyle is on the rise, with celebrities Lea Michele, Jessica Chastain, Natalie Portman, and Kristen Bell adopting the cruelty-free lifestyle. A 2013 Public Policy Polling survey states as many as 7% of the United States population may be vegan. Hip Apotheca seeks to embrace these shoppers and supply them with the animal product-free selections they desire.
